    Development Associate

    Amira, a Roxbury native with a background in public health, is deeply committed to empowering communities through economic mobility and self-sufficiency. With degrees from Northeastern University, she focuses on making policy more accessible and equitable by centering people and places in her work. Her experience spans organizations like the Alliance to End Hunger and Center for Law and Social Policy, where she tackled issues like poverty, food security, childcare, and local food systems. A former Emerson National Hunger Fellow, Amira brings a unique perspective shaped by both urban and rural experiences, fueling her passion for inclusive advocacy and coalition building to ensure federal policies meet everyone’s basic needs. As a Development Associate at Charm City Impact, she works to help shape development, training, and fundraising strategies and build strategic nonprofit and charity partnerships in the DMV area.

    Founder & Executive Director

    Corey P. Holland, a Baltimore native with a Master of Public Administration from Kennesaw State University and a Bachelor’s in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Akron, is passionate about strengthening nonprofit ecosystems through equitable leadership and capacity building. As Founder and Executive Director of Charm City Impact, he provides fiscal sponsorship and tailored professional development for organizations rooted in communities of color and other under-resourced areas, helping them secure resources and expand their reach. Certified as a SHRM-CP and in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for Human Resources by Cornell University, Corey brings expertise in volunteer management, coalition building, and fundraising strategy. He centers community voices to foster sustainable growth, ensuring that under-resourced nonprofits across the DMV have the support and training needed to thrive.

  • Cristina Diaz Mateo

    Strategic Program Advisor

    Cristina is a results-driven strategist and systems thinker with a track record of delivering impact across government, nonprofit, and global service sectors. She has advised and supported senior leadership at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Association of American Medical Colleges, led high-touch professional development programming for rising public servants at the Next Generation Leadership Corps, and taken on frontline roles through the Peace Corps and AmeriCorps National Civilian Community FEMA Corps. Trilingual and tactically minded, Cristina brings sharp expertise in stakeholder engagement, program design, fiscal oversight, and cross-cultural operations. 


    Cristina holds a Master of Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Sociology from the University at Albany.
